Family relationships, history and emotions can be problematic when siblings come together to plan for their parents' future. Difficult decisions regarding living arrangements, finances, power of attorney, transportation and daily needs must be resolved. When family members become immobilized because of a stalemate, mediation is a form of conflict resolution that offers empowerment and encouragement through a communication process. Through mediation family members can come together to voluntarily and confidentially tell their stories for a comfortable resolution of their differences.
